Managed Email Content Filtering Barracuda


Your mail goes through several hops on its way to your inbox. Most of these hops involve scanning for viruses and other nasty things. Its first stop is the Barracuda Cloud Protection Layer, which does light scanning. From there, it’s passed on to more intensive scanning on the Barracuda Spam A/V Firewall, and then it’s passed to the Zimbra CLAM A/V DSPAM or your own email system scanner. Once the mail moves through those scans and filters, it’s delivered to your inbox on our Zimbra e-mail server or your own email server (about 45% of all mail sent to #i2m managed domains is blocked as spam or malware).
